After the threat of the ongoing pandemic was made known in early March, our college decided to vacate all campuses. International students such as myself had to scramble to get flights back home, competing with every other student and citizen stuck in the US at that time to get tickets. A couple of days before my flight, Singapore announced that all incoming travellers would need to quarantine at home for 2 weeks, which I faithfully followed.
A few days before the end of quarantine, as I got excited to step out again, Singapore announced that the whole country would be going into lockdown (or as the government called it, circuit breaker). This lockdown was extended twice up till early July. In order to distract myself from the lack of social interaction and the unchanging environment, I decided to create a piece of graphic work everyday taking inspiration from what I had learnt in my first year at RISD.
I only managed to complete 16 pieces before the lockdowns got to my motivation...
