Each year, Siegel+Gale hosts a diverse group of summer interns across their offices and practices. Interns are given a chance to assist department mentors as we learn about branding through real client work, and finally get to work together to create a brand based on a fictional project brief.
Given a fictitious prompt of rebranding Blockbuster as a streaming aggregator that combines streaming content and subscriptions in one place, we developed the brand strategy, visual identity, and overall experience of this new service. The design team decided to rely on Blockbuster’s nostalgic look, using their past visual identity as an inspiration and modernising it for the present day.
